2016 in 140 characters...

2016 was a year many people would prefer to see the back of - yet we had an absolute blast here on Planet BrewDog. Our quest to spread the word about amazing craft beer continued apace, harnessing the power of social media to keep our followers up to date with just exactly how we were getting on. So as the first week of 2017 ends, let's take a Twitter-powered time machine back through the last twelve months and have a look at some of our highlights!
10 - Jet Black Heart
We started the year by making great beer rather than great ads as we launched Jet Black Heart into the world (and Martin and James into a swimming pool)...
And now for something completely different....#JetBlackHeart pic.twitter.com/meohYxRe0p

9 - DIY Dog
Shortly afterwards we did something we had wanted to do for some time - give away the recipe to every BrewDog beer ever made, to the awesome community of homebrewers who have supported us since the beginning. So we did.
So here it is. Every single BrewDog recipe. Ever. For free! #DIYDoghttps://t.co/74k7Qjdh0T pic.twitter.com/1lm1PKdGsb

8 - BlackOut Day
The end of February was graced with an extra 24 hours - we used this leap day to gather every single one of our crew together in Manchester to plan how we can be an even better company together. And we brewed an awesome beer for all of our people too!
We made this awesome barrel aged beer. Just for our amazing team members. Because they rock! pic.twitter.com/C4xcy2pEKC

7 - #PunkAGM2016
In April, 6,000 of our rock and roll shareholders got together with us in Aberdeen for our legendary AGM (which also included rock and roll, as well as other amazing music). Our teams were there for days in advance to ensure the event was the best ever, as Captain James documented!

6 - Equity for Punks USA
August saw us follow up the record-breaking Equity for Punks IV by launching a world-first crowdfunding drive for our supporters and fans in North America and around the globe. To celebrate the construction of our BrewDog facility in Columbus Ohio, we unleashed Equity for Punks USA!

5 - Art Attack
Speaking of Columbus, we sent our Fisher across the pond to give the all-too-white brewhouse a makeover, both inside and out! If you ever wondered just how fast he can be with brush and spray can, let this video be the answer...
8 days.

4 - All Hail the Neon Overlord
Proving it's not just bricks and mortar that got the BrewDog treatment in 2016, back in September the launch of our brand new small-batch mango and chili IPA resulted in this gentle, soothing tweet that gave a subtle massaging to the retinas...
Pledge allegiance to hops.

3 - Hello, Our Names are Elvis
A month later and one of our most popular beers was the subject of a legal notice from the estate of a certain singing icon. Our grapefruit and blood orange IPA versus a team of lawyers - what would give first? Well, the first names of our co-founders, as it happened...
Mr Presley’s estate has got itself All Shook Up over Elvis Juice.

2 - Five Years of Fast Track
Last month we achieved an amazing milestone, featuring in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 for a record-breaking fifth consecutive year. No other company (in any industry) has ever done this. Hats off to all of the hard-working crew members at BrewDog who made it happen!
Record-breaking 5 consecutive years on the @thesundaytimes #FastTrack100.

1 - Perpetual Motion
Finally, if there were a Nobel Prize for Brewing it would have definitely made its way to Ellon. Our team of beer geeks developed the impossible - the bottomless can of IPA. Cheers!
The holy grail.
