BOURBON BABY

BOURBON BABY

Our amazing team of brewers have been unleashing one incredible beer after another of late, and as we move well into the middle month of the year (no, really) they are upping their collective game even more. This week sees another new beer go live in our online shop, and for this particular launch we are turning – or rather re-turning – to the dark side. A much-requested classic is amped up and ready to rock. Bourbon Baby is back.

And you can buy it online here.

Bourbon Baby

This particular beer has so many fans that it consistently polled near the top of our #ReBrewDog online ballot. For that reason alone, it is high time that Bourbon Baby’s legion of admirers have the chance to get reacquainted with our baby Scotch Ale. First developed as an experiment to determine how lower abv session ales develop in cask, the subsequent answer (extremely well, on this evidence) swiftly became one of our most popular beers of 2014.

One of the main reasons why is that Bourbon Baby packs all of the varied flavours of the US whiskey spectrum into a beer that can be enjoyed without having to seek out the nearest armchair. So expect a fusillade of vanilla, spiced fruit and oaky woody notes interplaying with deeply resonant chocolate and cinder toffee backdrop. And all of that comes in at under 6% abv. Bourbon Baby is proof that you can have character at that strength, and does it by showcasing barrel ageing in a new light.

Bourbon Baby is live in our online shop right now and will be in our UK bars on draft from 6pm tonight, Thursday 9th June. Head along to your nearest BrewDog bar and leave us your thoughts on the outcome in the comments below!

Thanks so much!

Will try letting the bottled version decarbonate a bit before drinking - the draft is even more enjoyable.

Why did you stop it? Its nectar of the tar gods. More, more. More... Maybe I'm only saying that because I'm on number 4... Nah, regardless more required. What about a variation using casks from Seagram's Canadian Bourbon.........
