COMING SOON – BREWDOG YORK!

If you figured we’d be of a mind to slow down on the run up to Christmas and rest on our (festive) laurels then you’d be very much mistaken. With our latest bar BrewDog Homerton opening last Friday for the surging craft beer scene of East London we now are ready a week later to move up the A1 and open another – and that particular BrewDog bar is to be in a city equally at home drinking amazing beer.

BrewDog York will open on Friday 9th December!

Anyone who has been there knows that York is a city steeped in history, but one that combines this foothold in the past with a lot of amazing restaurants, bars and a huge number of cosy real ale pubs. It is a fantastic place for a beery weekend and has a huge student population to boot, so we can’t wait to add to that tapestry with a small piece of history of our own. Our third bar for Yorkshire sees us plant a flag for BrewDog in the largest county in England, and a fantastic location plumb within the famous York city walls!

BrewDog York opens this coming Friday and is located at 130-134 Micklegate, YO1 6JX. You can’t go far in York before bumping into something significant, and our bar there is only a very short stroll from Micklegate Bar, the four-storey 14th Century gatehouse that formed the old southern entrance to the city through the walls. So with a landmark like that nearby, it’s an easy place to get to! Once over the threshold you’ll find GM Craig and his hand-picked crew and 14 taps of craft beer ready and waiting.

BrewDog York will also be prepped for anybody after beer to takeaway, with bottles to go from the fridges and a full growler pour service available on anything from the taps. If you’d rather hang around and while away the hours in our latest bar to keep you company we will have a range of wines and spirits, amazing Aeropress coffee from our friends at Dear Green in Glasgow and the now-legendary freshly-made BrewDog pizzas!
