Cycling. More people than ever are becoming two-wheeled warriors – just like more people than ever are discovering the flavour and choice of craft beer. But the two can’t go together, can they? They sure as hell can. Saddle up and clip in – the BrewDog Chain Gang is here.
And we are seeking new members to ride with us.
Our new global cycling club unites anyone with a passion for cycling and craft beer. The BrewDog Chain Gang uses bars as Clubhouses, giving the perfect place to meet up and hit the road and then the even more perfect place to relax afterwards with a beer and refuel with food. Shoot the breeze with likeminded men and women and then power through that breeze with your Chain Gang crew.
The Chain Gang currently rocks over 530 pedal-powered people in ten different chapters – each centred on a city around the world. Local chapters have rides maintained on the Strava Club House as their hub. Here you can join rides, post times and generally keep up with how your hometown gang is doing on the roads or trails. Anyone who shares a love of cycling can join - roadies, fixies, downhillers – it’s all good!
Recent Chain Gang rides have rolled out from BrewDog Glasgow to DogTap in Ellon for the AGM weekend, and an equally legendary cycle from the site of BrewDog Tower Hill to BrewDog Brighton. Don’t have a BrewDog bar in your city? Until one arrives you can hook up with a Chain Gang running from a local craft beer bar instead – we have hard rollin’ chapters in Calgary and San Sebastian at the moment (as well as UK routes focusing on Edinburgh, Reading, Birmingham and more).
If you’d bunny hop at the chance to lead a pack of fellow cyclists then we are looking for Ride Leaders to take point on new chapters, creating interesting and fun routes in cities across the US, Australia, the UK and Europe. You could become the life-blood of your local chapter both on the road/trail and back at your Club House – our target is to rock 100 chapters of our Chain Gang by the end of the year!
Because the gear is as important as the gears, we are also unleashing a range of BrewDog cycle merch so that you can look the part and recognise each other when pounding the asphalt. Made in collaboration with the awesome guys at Milltag we have a Men's Chain Gang cycle jersey, Women's jersey, Gilet and water bottles to keep hydrated along the way. Check back soon for more – you can pre-order an epic jacket, cap, mitts, musette and bib too!
If you love nothing better than hitting the roads or hills on two wheels then we can make it even better – just add craft beer. Join the BrewDog Chain Gang and happy rolling!

Shame brewdog bars are all city centre. Perfect for city folk to meet up, not for out of towners.
Enjoy the ride :-)
Would like to get involved, poss as a leader
I don't have Facebook, is that mandatory?
As a suggestion, could you try to have a strava group for each location? One of the most useful things of being part of clubs are the notifications of the rides that are added.
In the case of BrewDog Chain Gang, I'd be receiving notifications for rides all around the world, not necessarily relevant when living in Manchester.
Phil - We deliver to Australia via DHL - if you only see UK options under shipping once added to your basket, change the country of billing on the right to Australia - the shipping should then change over to Aus/Pacific.
Keen to have a go at starting a chapter in Brisbane, Australia - ultimately using the new brewhouse/taproom as the Clubhouse when it opens (plenty of other great craft beer bars to use in the meantime, though).
Wednesday 2nd May 6pm
Meet at the bar for a 6pm start. A quiet route out of town towards Clent. One short horribly steep climb out of the basin and downhill all the way to a refreshing cold one in the bar.
