Equity Punks are the lifeblood of BrewDog. Our greatest fans, our most reverent critics and above all the people that help us build bars, breweries and brewpubs. As we continue to change a world dominated by bland industrial beer it is our Equity Punks who help us to spread the word about epic craft beer around the globe. That community is the reason we exist.

So we wanted to share some of the things we have planned for our Equity Punks in 2018.

Extended Birthday Beer Offering

BrewDog Equity Punks are entitled to a free beer each and every year on their birthday. We know that sometimes it’s not possible to visit a BrewDog Bar on that special day, so next year we’re making it easier for our shareholders to toast another year, on us (and with us). As well as the day itself that birthday beer can be grabbed any time up to three days either side of your birthday!

Also, if unfortunately you don’t live near enough to a BrewDog Bar to pick up that birthday beer, from 2018 we will be sending each of our Equity Punks a special online code – this can be used to redeem a free beer from our Headliner range when placing that birthday beer order from the BrewDog shop. (Just don’t forget to tell us what you’re drinking - use the #BirthdayPunk hashtag!).

Beer Schools and Brewery Tours

Our bar-based Beer Schools instil the wonder of craft beer to anyone who’d like to take part – just drop a line to your local BrewDog Bar to book a tutored tasting session! From next year, if you are an Equity Punk and three of your chums pony up for a Beer School, you can attend free! Likewise, if you bring a pal who pays, you can join a DogWalk guided tour of our Ellon brewhouse free.* Why not split the difference for them, or buy them a beer afterwards as a thank you!

#PunkAGM Europe

Speaking of our annual #PunkAGM (tickets for 2018’s Aberdeen AGM are live now), we love the fact that our Equity Punks travel from far and wide to attend. But we want to do more for our shareholders. So next year we are organising a truly awesome Annual General Mayhem in Sweden. Expect the same amazing live music, tasty grub and an impressive line-up of local and international breweries. Once we hook up a venue in Sweden, we’ll give you full details!

Equity Punk Certified Beer Server

This year we hit a very special landmark – December is set to close with 100% of BrewDog staff having passed the Cicerone Certified Beer Server exam. Next year we are taking it to our shareholders; before the end of 2018 we want to help 1,000 Equity Punks sit and pass their CBS exam, which would more than double the number of Cicerone Certified Beer Servers in the UK!

We know that having skilled and knowledgeable employees directly benefits our customers – and we also know those customers love craft beer every bit as much as we do. So next year we are committing to helping a thousand of them reach CBS level; providing all material needed to pass, discounted exam fees and even a super beery reward for passing!
