Last Saturday, 1008 people descended on the site of our new brewery in Canal Winchester, just outside of Columbus Ohio, to christen the new brewery with the first ever Annual General Mayhem, USA edition. Since launching Equity for Punks USA last month, we have accrued 3,000 shareholders and raised $2.5million from the American people, and you can find out more about buying your stake in our craft beer crusade right here!

As an investor in our renegade business, you get an annual invite for you and a friend to attend our legendary AGM parties. Beer, music, food and business, all packaged up into a one-day festival for BrewDog’s closest friends and family – our Equity Punks. And last weekend that festival took place at our brand new facility in Columbus, Ohio!

The day kicked off at 11am when we opened the doors to our new warehouse for the very first time. Bars serving up beers from BrewDog, Dogfish Head, Stone, Fat Heads, Seventh Son, Rock Mill, Rhinegeist and Land Grant were slammed right from the off, with the BrewDog bar getting pounded for the full 12 hours as our newest investors took the chance to experience our beers!

The patient queues at the bars were amazing to see - particularly as many of the attendees were trying the beers for the first time! Punk, Elvis Juice, Jet Black Heart and other BrewDog mainstays as well as a selection of specials were available, including the epic new Gin Blitz, and we blasted through a total of 50 kegs of the freshest BrewDog beer!

You did us proud, Columbus.

James’ business talk was met with a series of rounds of applause, and the crowd went crazy for some of the exciting plans we have stateside, including the first ever BrewDg bar set for Franklinton, Columbus. We welcomed craft beer fans from at least 20 states, including Texas, California, Florida, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, plus we had a troupe fly out from Ellon, attendees from Bristol, and also Brazil! Insane commitment to getting the first glimpse of BrewDog Columbus.

Tours were scheduled every hour from 3-8pm, but due to unprecedented demand these were tripled and our Finance Director, Neil Simpson, joined Tim Hawn (head of brewing at BrewDog Columbus), and Keith Bennet (Project Manager for our US facility) to lead tours, notching up a total of 18 tours, plus 2 from James Watt himself. 20 tours in 6 hours. Gotta be a new record!

Local bands including Waivada, Love Alive, and No Dice took to the stage to rock out and offer up a soundtrack to our inaugural shareholder gathering. Thanks to Marissa, Keith, Tim and Audrey – our ground team in the USA - for pulling together such an incredible day to welcome our newest investor community to our brand new home in Ohio. Thanks to our UK team Neil, Allison, Gareth, Dave, Fisher, Bethany, Neil and Sarah, who all flew out to man the bars, meet our new shareholders and answer their burning questions.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped pour hundreds of beers throughout the day, and finally – and most importantly - cheers to every single Equity Punk who made the trip to join us for the day. Thanks to the shareholders who made BrewDog USA a reality. Our AGM, our new brewery, our team and our opportunities worldwide are all because of you.

Made the trip from Pittsburgh region. Made a stop at the zoo then to AGM! I had to justify the 3.5 hr trip. Loved the place and the beer. Can wait to come out to the restaurant and next years event. Have to make it a weekend event as long drive for a day trip but worth it!
