We recently filled you in on the benefits of becoming a BrewDog Equity Punk shareholder. But there’s another level of magnitude that we haven’t yet touched on – our unique new Referral Scheme. In short, over and above the perks gained when investing in BrewDog, you can also earn yourself money-can’t-buy additional rewards by referring your friends to invest in Equity for Punks as well!

But how does it work?

When you sign up and invest, you’ll receive a unique referral code following the completion of the transaction. Share this with your friends, family, co-workers and secret admirers, and when they invest they will have the opportunity to enter that code on their application. When they do, both of you will log a ‘referral point’ on your account (as a good deed, it works both ways!).

Every Equity for Punks IV investor also receives a referral point just for investing; so if you invest, someone you know at the gym uses your referral code, and the woman from the bakery with the flapjack skills also invests and enters your code – you’ll have racked up three points, right there.

Existing shareholder? All our EFP I, II and III Equity Punks have been automatically granted a referral point (for being long-time friends of ours), which can be found ready to use on your account!

Rack up enough of these referral points, and when we hit our target you’ll be eligible for some frankly spectacular BrewDog rewards. These rewards are accumulative, so every time you hit a new level of referrals, you’ll get the goodies for each of the stages along the way!

So, what are these cherries on the collective shareholding cake?

Five Referrals

Log five referral points, and you’ll receive three bottles of an exclusive barrel-aged edition of Hinterland, an oatmeal milk stout with vanilla pods & cacao. This aged version of Hinterland will feature unique label artwork from Johanna Basford, and will not be released to anyone else, anywhere – the only way you’ll be able to get hold of it is via referrals. You’ll also get a signed copy of Business for Punks, the book about BrewDog’s business story, penned by our co-founder James.

Ten Referrals

As an extra reward for reaching double-figure referrals, aside from the bottles of barrel-aged Hinterland and the signed Business for Punks, you will also be sent a personalised Liberty growler engraved with your name and shareholder number, plus £20 of Beer Bucks with which to fill it at a BrewDog bar you now own a part of! Why, how convenient is that?

Twenty Referrals

Getting twenty referrals is some serious beans, so on top of the other rewards accrued we’ll be dispatching to your home an extremely special VIPUNK Dickies workshirt, embroidered with your shareholder number. These slimline grey shirts are one of our most eagerly-sought items of merchandise, and yours will be custom-made! But that’s not all – also for twenty referrals, we’ll send you a personalised set of stemmed schooner glassware!

Forty Referrals

If you manage to refer forty people to invest in Equity for Punks, then congratulations – you’ve reached the gold standard! To thank you – in person – for your hard work, we will invite you on a little trip. Pack your bags, as you’ll be rewarded with an all-expenses-paid trip to our Ellon brewery! Whilst at our HQ, you’ll brew an exclusive beer with James and Martin, and then join them for a beer dinner afterwards at MUSA in Aberdeen. How about that?

Well, actually there’s more than that. You can check up – at any time – how our leading referrers are doing by consulting the Referral League Table on our Live Updates page. Once our Equity for Punks share offer closes, the top ten individuals on that final table will receive ALL the above benefits – plus a very special addition. They will each become the proud owner of an exceedingly limited-edition bottle of The End of History, packaged in taxidermy!

The Live Updates page refreshes bright and early at 1am each day, before many of our HQ staff are even up (or in bed, perhaps) – so you can dial up the table over your morning cornflakes and see how the top referrers are doing, and whether your name is amongst them. There’s also a colourful map of Europe so you can feel the rosy glow of patriotism if your nation has a high ranking (or give yourself a quick geography quiz).
